Day 4: May 27: “Behind Bars in Philadelphia ”
Morning: Meet at school at 9:30 am. Take van to tour Eastern State Penitentiary. Tour prison, view cell of Al Capone, view and discuss courtyard exhibition on comparative rates of incarceration around the world.

Artist Karen Schmidt literally hand knitted a blanket to cover the entire cell.
